About me
I'm an Assistant professor (RTDb) at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Pisa.
I’m specialized in structural geology, tectonics and field mapping. I combine fieldwork with multidisciplinary studies including microstructures, quartz petrofabrics, metamorphism and vorticity of flow to investigate ductile deformation processes and crustal-scale shear zones evolution in both recent (Himalayan belt, North Apennines-Italy, Central Pontides - Turkey) and ancient (Variscan belt-Sardinia, Italy) belts.
I'm executive editor of the Geological Journal.
